Circle Group: Digitalisation, Simplification and Interoperability in the Transfer of Goods between a Port Area and an Inland Area in a Simplified Logistics Zone

Circle is pleased to announce its involvement in the project ‘Automated Systems and AI Tools for Optimal Management of Port Traffic Flows’, developed within Spoke 4 in the RAISE – Robotics and AI for Socio-economic Empowerment, together with Aitek.
As part of these activities, the pilot project is being created with the aim of developing technological solutions to facilitate the exchange of goods between the port of disembarkation and the various intermodal areas of the Simplified Logistics Zone (ZLS).
It has expanded the collaboration between several key players in the logistics sector, including the Liguria Region in primis, the Customs Agency, shippers, agents, terminal operators, logistics players and other stakeholders, with the aim of demonstrating the operational readiness of the ZLS coordinated precisely by the Liguria Region.
The project focuses on the adoption of federated, digital, interoperable tools aimed at improving the efficiency and fluidity of freight traffic flows.
