Circle Group and ADSP MACs: Closing of the Production Start-up phase of the Rail Management Platform at the port of Ravenna

Circle announces, with the closure of the first phase of the innovation project, the full operation
of the Rail Management Platform, the new rail module of the Port Community System
(PCS). This important step, which was completed in December 2024 and March 2025,
involved stakeholders such as Terminal Container Ravenna (TCR), Docks Cereali, Viglienzone
Adriatica, Hannibal (Contship Group) and the Dinazzano Po/MIST Network of Enterprises,
marking a significant advance in the process of digitisation and optimisation of information
flows related to the management of rail convoys in the port.
The Rail Management Platform was developed to improve the efficiency of information
exchanges between key players in the port rail community, including port terminals,
multimodal transport operators, shunting operator and railway companies. The system
provides a centralised digital interface, which enables real-time management of
information flows concerning the entry and exit of trains from the port, with a positive
impact on streamlining and speeding up processes.
