Trade exchanges between the ports of La Spezia and Casablanca are increasingly efficient thanks to the results of the European project FENIX, which aims to create an international logistics corridor between the two ports.
The Pinara, a ship which left the Port of La Spezia Terminal del Golfo – TDG (Tarros Group) on 21 February, arrived in Casablanca. Thanks to the IT platform developed as part of the FENIX project, the data on the containers embarked and the related transport and custom documents were anticipated before the ship’s departure.
The pilot project enabled the testing of innovative tools related to the digitalised logistic corridor allowing data exchange between the AdSP systems and the Port Community System of the Port of Casablanca, Portnet, thanks also to the cooperation with the Customs and Monopolies Agency.
